NordicTrack AudioStrider 800 Elliptical – Top Value for Sub-$1000 Crosstrainers
Icon Fitness has earned loyal customers with the NordicTrack AudioStrider 800 elliptical and several of its sibling models. Although the AudioStrider 800 has been discontinued, it gets great reviews and

Popular Opinion of the AudioStrider 800
While some other NordicTracks are criticized as wobbly wanna-bes, the AudioStrider series gets praise even from the pros. They approve of its ergonomics, workout programming and overall value. Customers are also very pleased, giving this trainer high ratings for ease of assembly, great features and durability. You can expect this trainer to outlive its one-year parts warranty without presenting problems.
Our Overall Review
For just $999 the NordicTrack AudioStrider 800 is a pretty good deal. The 18” and power incline can help short and average-height adults get into great-looking shape and quickly improve their cardiovascular condition. We’d like to see a longer warranty but nonetheless you can expect
this trainer to endure for at least a few years. Keep in mind that since the programming is sparse, you might be tempted to activate the workout card reader. Workout cards will add on a nominal expense; you can often find them resold on Amazon for just $5 or so.
Lots of competitors hang out at this price point, so take time to comparison shop. You might even find the Audio Strider 990 for $999 instead. It has a 20”-23” adjustable stride and features compatibility with iFit Live instead of iFit workout card technology. iFit Live is a subscription service that uses the elliptical trainer’s wireless Internet connection. It provides workouts powered by Google Maps, which let you exercise along just about any virtual route, and also features personal training with Jillian Michaels.
